*I’ve collected a bumper crop of events, but there are two at the top here that are in the pipeline for which information is not yet available  – I’m flagging them up so that you can make a note in your diaries:

              1) A Research Conference for FE  (Monday July 11th, 2011)
               currently being organised by the new Regional Convenor of the North 
               West Learning and Skills Network – more on this soon

               2) A conference around the theme of Engagement (and involving the
                 innovative use of technologies) currently being organised at  
                 Blackburn College (2nd September, 2011

*Etienne Wenger (known for his work on Communities of Practice) is around and about the Northwest at the moment, running workshops and sessions in a number of places.
There’s a live stream of the workshop he’s holding at Lancaster Uni on 5th April which can be viewed via this link

*JISC Regional Support Centre Northwest – Annual Event… filling up fast… something a bit different this year:  sessions run as classes, so you get to experience different approaches to teaching within subject disciplines…  take a look at the web site for more information.  June 30th in Manchester.
